Stripco is growing! You can follow the construction progress of our new EPS pickling line and additional Annealing capacity.
October 2011
The EPS (Eco Pickled Surface) pickling line foundation is complete after this massive concrete pour towards the end of October (343 yards in 5 hours). Preparation continues with plumbing and electrical work.
The new annealing building was nearly enclosed by the end of October. Work moves primarily indoors as we prepare for increased annealing capacity to come online in December.
September 2011
The construction of our EPS (Eco Pickled Surface) pickling line continues with foundation work. There is a massive amount of pits and trenches. We are working our way to floor level so equipment installation can begin.
The new annealing building is going up. Foundations are complete, and this new 10,000 sq. ft. 60' tall building is under construction.
August 2011
This is where our EPS (Eco Pickled Surface) pickling line will be installed. Nearly half of our original 100,000 sq ft building will be dedicated to this machine and its 200,000 tons/year capacity.
Our existing cold rolled strip facility will be expanded by 10,000 sq ft. The 60' tall building will accommodate a 133% capacity increase. The annealing bases are installed on top of large pits. These slabs of concrete are the lowest foundation of those pits.
